Freeborn staff on hand to haul in £2.25m motorhome catch
Freeborn Motorhomes sales staff from Southampton and Godalming on the stands of Devon Conversions, Elddis, Pilote and Auto-Trail took 40 orders during the Motorhome and Caravan show at the NEC.
On the Auto-Trail stand, Freeborn sales staff amassed 24 orders with buyers showing interest in range-topping tag axle models. But the real star was the Imala mid-budget range, featuring all the build quality and style of the bigger Auto-Trail models but letting owners specify their exact mix of features, although awnings appeared to be a must with just about everyone.
Freeborn Group Sales Director Chris Healy said, “It was a tremendous show for us, rounding of a busy year that saw all our 2015 stock sold ahead of 2016 models arriving to give us an edge over dealers still struggling with old stock on their premises. At present, the market is still buoyant - no doubt helped by the relaxation of pension rules in April that freed up cash for big purchases. But with most lenders offering 10 year finance at competitive rates on motorhomes because they retain so much value, a big cash pot is not essential to get the motorhome of your dreams.”
