Free expert seminars at the National Motorhome Show

If you head for the National Motorhome Show at the Peterborough Showground, which will take place next weekend (April 17 to 19) to see the dealers and vendors of motorhoming accessories, perhaps staying for the entertainment, then don't forget to head for the free MMM motorhome seminars.

The expert speakers include Dave Hurrell, MMM's Senior Road Tester, and MMM's electronics expert, Clive Mott. The topics covered in the seminars, which will take place in the Cambridge Suite on both Friday 17 and Saturday 18, include
  • how to survive in your motorhome off hook-up, which is ideal for those wild camping or even staying at the Showground for a few days;
  • common mistakes to avoid when buying a new motorhome;
  • how to manage space and resources when living in your motorhome for an extended period of time;
  • towing and the rules around using an A-frame, especially when you get abroad;
  • and, how to install internet in your motorhome so all your devices can benefit from internet access.
There will also be members of the MMM team on hand to answer your general motorhome and MMM magazine queries.

Each seminar will last approximately 45 minutes and there will be a Q&A session at the end of each one. And remember, they are all free and there is no need to book, but do arrive early if you want a seat.

Here's what you can go listen to:

Friday 17 April
11am - Buying a new motorhome
Noon – Long-term motorhoming
1pm - Surviving off hook-up
2pm - Towing and A-frames

Saturday 18 April
11am - Buying a new motorhome
Noon – Getting internet in your motorhome
1pm - Surviving off hook-up
2pm - Towing and A-frames

The National Motorhome Show is open on Friday 17 April, 9.30am to 5pm, Saturday 18 April, 9.30am to 5pm and Sunday 19 April, 9.30am to 4pm.

Parking is free and even though pre-booking for camping at the show is closed, you can still arrive and pay at the gate for camping or simply visit for the day.

A day ticket can be bought at the gate on arrival for £8 for adults, with children admitted free. Better still follow the link below and print off the voucher, which will save you money on the cost of a day ticket.

Set your sat-navs to PE2 6XE and follow the temporary signs to the day visitor car park.
