Fiat Ducato is Europe’s favourite commercial vehicle
In 2020, the Fiat Ducato became Europe’s best-selling commercial vehicle for the first time since its debut in 1981.
Already, the most popular motorhome base vehicle, the Ducato will shortly celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The Ducato is the flagship model of Fiat Professional and, in 2020, it sold around 150,000 units (up 7.6%), taking a market share of 20.5% (an increase of three percentage points, in a market that has declined).
Production of the Ducato is based in Val di Sangro, east of Rome, at the Sevel (Società Europea Veicoli Leggeri) plant, the largest factory in the world for the production of medium to large vans.
Today, it is offered in over 10,000 variants and sold in more than 80 countries all over the world. Over three million Ducatos have been sold since its launch, while the latest development is a fully electric model.
