Facebook® data used to power campsite recommendations

Pitchup.com has launched a ‘Top 10 Campsites as liked by Facebook users’ tool.

It uses data generated by the social platform’s 750 million users to rank and recommend its 5,000 campsites and holiday park listings.

Data from users who ‘like’, send, comment on or share a Pitchup.com listing is automatically pulled in to generate a top ten, refreshed daily.

This information is displayed on the homepage for users to view the top recommended campsites and holiday parks.

Pitchup.com will feed back this data to site managers who wish to score their own accommodation against their competitors – making it a useful tool for marketing planning.
