OUTSTANDING value for money, good road manners and user-friendy ergonomics and accommodation helped the Elddis Autoquest 115 to victory in the Caravan Club’s Design and Drive Awards.

The Peugeot Boxer-based motorhome saw off strong challenges from the UK and Europe’s biggest manufacturers to take the Best Coachbuilt up to £36,000 category as well as the overall title.

The judges, who included Which Motorcaravan managing editor Mark Sutcliffe, MMM road test editor Dave Hurrell and regular road tester Mike Le Caplain, praised the Autoquest’s value for money and composed driving characteristics.

With a basic price of £27,090, the 2-berth Autoquest was the second cheapest contender in the 41-vehicle entry line-up and all the judges remarked on the Elddis’ exceptional value for money. Comments included: “Every essential in a small package…” and “quick, agile and easy to drive.”

Slovenian manufacturer Adria also fared well, with its Twin van conversion and Vision i677 A-class taking awards - as did Autocruise with awards for its Starburst and Gleneagle coachbuilts.
