Duvalay expresses sadness at death of investor, Hilary Devey
Yorkshire-based motorhome and caravan bedding specialist, Duvalay, has offered its condolences to the family and friends of its investor, Hilary Devey
BBC’s Dragons’ Den investor, Hilary, who passed away in June, acquired a 26% stake in the family-run company for £80,000 in 2011. Under Hilary's guidance, the company grew from a husband-and-wife team to employing over 80 people and winning a host of accolades along the way.
Hilary’s legacy will continue at Duvalay through its Hilary Devey Collection, a luxury range of high-end mattresses.
Elizabeth Colleran, Sales and Marketing Director at Duvalay, says,
Everyone at Duvalay is deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Hilary and we send our condolences to Mevlit and the rest of her family.
Hilary’s investment in Duvalay transformed the company, allowing us to develop all areas of the business and grow our customer base significantly. I think our greatest success is that we now employ over 80 individuals in the heart of Yorkshire, and this number is growing year-on-year.
Hilary was always proud that her investment had turned out to be a good one and the company is a success story. So much so, that she allowed us to use her CBE award as a decorative motif on the award-winning Hilary Devey Collection.
