Dometic launches world's first inflatable winter awning
Dometic has launched the world's first inflatable awning, the Kampa Dometic Winter Air PVC, designed to shelter motorhome, campervan and caravan owners from even the most extreme winter weather.
Using a specially developed new material, Weathershield™ PVC — which is said to be tough, waterproof, long-lasting and easy to clean — the inflatable awning is rated to an impressive minus 20 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for those touring in their motorhome or caravan throughout winter or in the coldest of climates.
Whilst providing comfort in even the most extreme snowy conditions, the Kampa Dometic Winter Air PVC also boasts patented single point inflation AirFrame technology for easy set up, and weather-protected ventilation points to increase air circulation and reduce condensation. Also included with the awning as standard are two rear upright poles, two snow support poles, roof lining, storm straps, draught skirt, a downdraught hand pump and tarzan pegs.
The inflatable awning is suitable for both motorhome and caravan users due to triple beading (4mm, 6mm and 7mm keder as standard) which allows fitment to both caravan awning rails and motorhome cassette awnings. Vehicles with awning connection heights ranging from 235-265 cm are covered by the Winter AIR PVC range. Prices start from £1,218.75.
