Dometic acquires three new companies
Dometic, which makes motorhome equipment and accessories has announced the acquisition of three companies in as many weeks. These include Australian-based Enerdrive, which makes solar power solutions, South African Front Runner, which makes roof racks accessories and adventure gear and Zamp Solar, a North American manufacture of solar power solutions for the outdoor market.
Enerdrive has a head quarters in Brisbane, Australia and 45 staff. The company makes solar panels, batteries and battery chargers for motorhomes and boats with a 1,200 strong service and aftermarket dealer network.
Front Runner Vehicle Outfitters sell products directly and through 600 dealers to four continents, with offerings including rooftop tents, storage products and load bars. The company has 320 full-time employees with a headquarters and manufacturing base near Johannesburg, South Africa.
ZampSolar is based in Bend, Oregon and has 65 employees. The company, which was founded in 2010, is known for its high quality and recycled components, including solar panels, charge controllers, power boxes and various solar kits.
