CI and Roller Team offer six-year motorhome warranties
The two manufacturers, which are part of the Trigano group, are also offering buyers visiting the Caravan and Motorhome show at Birmingham's NEC next week a price reduction by holding VAT at the 2010 rate of 17.5 per cent, thereby avoiding the 2.5 per cent increase intropuced on January 4.
Among the range of motorhomes available with this doube offer is the MMM “Family Motorhome of the Year”, the Carioca 707 (pictured), which is built on the Fiat Ducato, Europe’s best-selling motorhome base vehicle, and has seven belted seats and seven berths, making it ideal for larger families or groups of friends who like to travel together.
“Manufacturing the motorhomes involves the use of a process we call EXPS that has many advantages – so many that we have been able to offer this class-leading warranty,” says Scott Stephens, general sales and marketing manager for CI and Roller Team in the UK.
“The initials stand for Extreme Protection System and it does exactly what it says. The exterior walls of the motorhome are made in one sheet of GRP while the inner walls are constructed of laminated plastic.
“But it’s what you can’t see that makes the difference. The space is filled with Styrofoam which stops moisture from the outside penetrating through to the interior of the body.
“There are other significant benefits as Styrofoam increases the insulation properties of the body and gives better soundproofing so motorhome users who take to the road for a quiet life in remote places will find the latest CI and Roller Team models deliver everything they wish.”
Models with rear external storage compartments also get fibreglass under the rear overhang to give added protection from stones and bad weather to an otherwise vulnerable area while all models have a floor thickness of 75mm to improve soundproofing and thermal insulation at the same time as giving greater structural strength.
“These models are already great value, and this is enhanced by the saving on VAT that we are offering,” adds Scott.
“But as the market comes to appreciate the hidden strengths of EXPS, I am sure we will see the 2011 models gaining a reputation for longevity that will enhance future values, resulting in reduced ownership costs.
“This is great news for owners who like to change their vehicle regularly as trade-in values should be better while the six year warranty means those who buy their motorhome with a view to long term ownership need not worry about the interior suffering from damp penetration for a much extended period.”
