Carthago launches spacious new A-class motorhome

The c-tourer range of A-class motorhomes has been expanded with the introduction of the c-tourer I 144 LE ‘epic’. It offers large single beds at the rear, a luxury bathroom, corner kitchen with separate fridge as well as an L-shaped lounge seating group with side seat bench. The entire motorhome is still under 7m in length.

To reduce the overall length, the single bed on the left side in the direction of travel retracts during the day, making it shorter. At night, once everyone has used the shower, the shower cabin wall moves back and the single bed can be extended out to its full length of two metres. The result of this is that the I 144 LE ‘epic’ is about half a metre shorter than similar layout motorhomes, but still offers full living and sleeping arrangements.

There’s a new furniture design available for the c-tourer range, which is where the ‘epic’ tag comes from. The two-colour look combines structured surfaces in a friendly, light, bright ash-tree and high-gloss ivory. The flooring, with the matching colour, supplements the aesthetic furniture design.

Other changes to the c-tourer range includes a remodelled front. It features an enlarged windscreen so it extends the field of view upwards as well as newly arranged headlights and daytime driving lights.

The c-tourer I has eight models available starting with the compact I 138 with a length of 6.40m and a double transverse bed, to the large I 150 with queen-size bed and bathroom over a length of 7.53m. In-between, there are versions with a double, transverse bed that can be accessed from the side, a practical bathroom with changing room as well as different kitchens. The new, compact I 144 LE with single beds comes on top of that.

The basic price for the c-tourer I range starts at €76,820. The price of the c-tourer I 144 LE ‘epic' is €80,250 in Germany. The UK price will be set shortly.
