Campervan converter Autohaus reveals new VW T6
Somerset-based campervan converter, Autohaus, has unveiled its latest VW T6, the Exmoor Beast, complete with an off-road-style appearance and sub-£40k price tag.
Sitting on suspension raised by 40mm and suitably chunky wheels and tyres, and also featuring camouflage-style graphics, the Exmoor Beast campervan is actually based on a front-wheel drive Transporter with the 102PS engine (110PS in future on the new T6.1 van).
It comes with spats around the wheelarches, aluminium side rails and plastic trim around the windows to complete the distinctive appearance.
Inside, this camper comes with a full-width RIB seat/bed with custom upholstery featuring ‘claw marks’ and logos depicting the Beast’s head. The layout places a compact galley with Can single-burner hob and sink behind the driver’s seat, while a 30-litre Vitrifrigo drawer fridge slides out from under the rear seat.
A rear-hinged Reimo elevating roof is included in the standard price of £39,999.
