Bürstner announces campervan and motorhome line-up for 2019

It’s a busy year for Burstner, as the brand adds some new models to its existing line up of motorhomes and campervans, and launches an altogether new range, too.

Building on the continued success of the (low profile) Lyseo TD Harmony Line and (A-class) Ixeo I ranges, there are two new layouts to add to the collection. First up is the TD 727 G/I 727 G which features two single beds in the rear (with garage below), with separate shower/WC cubicles ahead of these, and a central kitchen. Of course, there’s a front dinette, and a new addition here is a large central table, rather than a side table that sits against the wall, as seen in other layouts. This allows for lounge seating around three sides of the table, using the swivelled cab seats. Both are 7.49 metres in length, with four travel seats in the Lyseo TD and three in the Ixeo I. The first sleeps 2/5 while the second has beds for 4/5.

The new TD 736 is very similar, except it’s slightly longer at 7.65 metres and has an (height adjustable) island bed layout, instead. Meanwhile, the Ixeo I 746 (also 7.65m) features a rear lounge (with drop down bed) and an L-shaped sofa in the dinette. Travel seats and sleeping arrangements are the same as above. The TD 727 G is priced at (OTR) £65, 995, the TD 736 at £64,995, The Ixeo I 727 G at £82,995 and the Ixeo I 746, at £83,995.

Moving onto the brand new Ixeo T model range, this sits at the upper end of its mid-range motorhomes, just above the Lyseo TD, and has the same specification. The collection consists of four low-profile models, three of which have twin single beds, and the fourth has an island bed. As of December 2018, a fifth, rear lounge model, will be available – the T 744.

The smallest is the T 690 G at 6.99 metres, which has single beds in the rear that you step up to, with lots of slide out storage cupboards beneath. Ahead of one of the beds is a washroom with a rather clever design, as the loo, sink and vanity unit completely folds away into the wall to transform the space into a shower cubicle. Opposite this is a conventional kitchen with a dinette up front. The T 728 G is similar in design, except it has a separate shower cubicle opposite the WC, and is slightly longer at 7.49 metres.

The third twin bed model (the T 720, 7.40m) is somewhat different, as the beds are low down, and the washroom is located to the rear across the full width of the motorhome, with a large wardrobe on one side. Finally, there’s the island bed model (the T736, 7.49m), which also features the central table with opposing sofas, as seen in the new Lyseo TD/Ixeo I models, mentioned above.

All Ixeo T models boast a large sky roof that sweeps over the cab and dinette, creating a very light and airy lounge area. In the kitchen, you get the choice of a glass fronted cupboard for storing wine and champagne glasses, or you can opt for a pull-out coffee machine, instead. All models have four travel seats, and a drop-down bed is optionally available.

Price wise, the T 690 G costs £70,995; the T 720 and T 728 G is priced at 72, 995, and the T 736 costs £73, 995. The price of the T 744 is TBC.

Finally, Burstner’s campervan range – the City Car – now has two available in ‘Harmony Line’ versions. This means you get a higher level of specification as standard, with things like the Chassis and Design packs included. You can expect a Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multi Jet 130bhp Euro VI engine, ABS, ESP including traction control and hill hold, cruise control, cab air conditioning, driver and passenger airbags, height adjustable seats, 16-inch alloy wheels, and leather steering wheel and gear knob.

The City Car C 600 Harmony Line is 5.99 metres long and features a transverse double bed in the rear and dinette that seats four up front; a third bed is optionally available. In the side kitchen, there’s a 90-litre fridge, 2-burner hob and oven/grill. Behind the dinette, there a bathroom with a fold-down sink. You also get Combi 6 diesel heating.

The City Car C 603, also measuring 5.99 metres and with the same specification, is a true 2-berth model because the only seats are those found in the cab, which swivel. Not having a bench seat up front means there’s plenty of room for storage cupboards instead, and a large extendible table.

The 603 is priced at £49, 495 while the 600 costs a tad more, at £49,995.
