Be quick to beat Bailey motorhomes price increase

Bailey of Bristol has confirmed the cost of its new motorhomes will increase from 27 February by 4.8%

This follows news that another British manufacturer, Swift, will increase the price of its new motorhomes at the end of February by 5%.

Bailey said it has held the recommended retail prices of its current motorhome ranges since March 2016, which helped sales increase by 36% in the year to date, which, it says, is three times the rate of growth of the market.

Last year saw record numbers of motorhomes and campervans sold in the UK.

However, Bailey said that following the post-Brexit referendum's economic uncertainty and associated turbulence in the currency markets, it has come under increasing price pressure from its European suppliers and this has led it to review its pricing structure.

As a result, Bailey confirmed that from Monday 27 February 2017 – straight after the February motorhome show in Birmingham's NEC – all models from its current Advance and Autograph motorhome ranges will be subject to an average 4.8% price increase.
