Are you a keen photographer? Would you like to see your work on the front cover of the UK’s best-selling motorhome magazine? Well, here’s your chance.
We’re looking for our next front cover star and we want to invite you, our talented and well travelled readers, to showcase your photographic skills. The January 2013 will be the first issue to feature a reader-submitted cover. Reader David Rouget sent us his picture of his Autotrail Chieftan on the Glaubenburgstrasse, a pass linking Entlebuch at the western end to Samen on the east and is about 15 miles SW of Lucerne in Switzerland.
You can order your advanced copy of the January issue here
Not only will your imagery be seen by thousands of people throughout the UK and Europe, but like David you will also receive £150 for each photograph we use on the cover!
There are three ways in which you can submit your photographs for the MMM Cover Star competition. Our Facebook page is the perfect place to show off your handiwork and admire the work of others.
- FACEBOOK: Simply go to facebook.com/MotorcaravanMotorhomeMonthlyMagazine and upload your images
- MMM GALLERY: Don't do Facebook? Then the Gallery section on www.outandaboutlive.co.uk is the place to go
- EMAIL: And if these two options sound too daunting, then you can email your entries to [email protected]
So if you’d like to see your image grace the front cover of the UK’s favourite motorhome magazine, and get paid handsomely into the bargain, what are you waiting for? You can start uploading your images to Facebook, the outandaboutlive.co.uk gallery or send via email straightaway.
But don’t worry if you’ve yet to take the perfect picture – there’s no closing date to this competition – so whenever you’re next away, just be sure to take your camera with you and get creative!

A handy guide to shooting an image for the MMM front cover:
Content: Your images must be beautiful, inspiring and feature a motorhome! We’re looking for fantastic scenery and images that sum up all that’s great about the motorhoming lifestyle: freedom, variety and the great outdoors, to name but a few. |
Composition: While a motorhome must be in the picture, it should not dominate it – the scenery is more important. For those familiar with the rule of thirds, the top third of the image should ideally lend itself to have the MMM logo placed over it. |
Size matters: In simple terms, we need your photographs to be as large as possible. That means setting your camera to its highest quality setting. For the technically minded snapper, images need to be at least A4 sized with bleed (303mm high by 216mm wide) at 300dpi. |
