Autocruise to launch new compact camper van
AUTOCRUISE is launching a new compact motorhome based on the Fiat Scudo/Peugeot Expert van.
Called Pulse, it will be powered by a 2-litre, 120bhp engine with a six-speed gearbox and the manufacturer says it is small enough to park in town but large enough with its elevating roof and variable rear seat position to provide a spacious motorhome.
At two metres high the Pulse should fit in most garages. It can seat four and sleeps two with the rear seats converting into a double bed. There is the option of an extra bed for two children in the roof.
An open living area is created by swivelling front seats and it comes with a diesel-fuelled space heater, lighting and power points, sink with glass lid, two-burner gas hob with glass lid, gas grill, 72-litre fridge/freezer and an optional water heater among others equipment.
Prices for the Pulse are expected to start at about £30,000 and anyone wanting to see it in the metal should attend the the International Caravan & Motorhome Show 2008, at the NEC, Birmingham, between October 14 and 19, where it will go on show.
