Auto-Trail support Help for Heroes

Staff at motorhome manufacturer Auto-Trail are planning their fifth year of charity fundraising – this time with a view to helping the Help for Heroes organisation.

The 151 staff at the state-of-the-art factory on the outskirts of Grimsby have already raised £15,000 in four years, adopting a different charity each year after a vote by staff.

Past events have included the Three Peaks Challenge, a coast to coast bike ride, and annual golf tournaments where staff and suppliers play against eachother.

This year a 25-mile hike across Yorkshire’s Three Peaks is on the itinerary and organiser Paul Howes says the efforts of injured service personnel to rehabilitate themselves with long treks and other extreme adventures should prove an inspiration to the Auto-Trail staff.

“It’s a great effort, with everyone wanting to get involved,” he added. “Even customers who come on the monthly factory tours to see how much care we put into building the motorhomes they cherish want to get involved and make contributions."
