Auto-Trail freezes motorhome prices for 2013

1b28947e-e050-4589-bbd1-456d5c2d2c8c

Auto-Trail has fixed the price of its 2013 models at 2012 levels. The price of Tribute motorhomes and van conversions has also been frozen

The move is in-line with the Roller Team marque, which is also owned by the Trigano Group and sold in the UK.

The UK manufacturer has also introduced a new model to the Tracker range – so buyers can now get a Tracker with a retractable transverse rear island bed.

This new model, the Tracker RB, features a retractable transverse rear island bed. This new model sits on the Fiat 4,250kg chassis and can be ordered either with a half dinette (with two additional seat belts) or twin facing settees.

This new 7.6m long Tracker RB will top the range and will cost £50,820 (on the road price).

All other Auto-Trail prices remain the same as last year – but only for a limited period.

The freezing of Auto-Trail, Tribute and Roller Team prices will only remain in force until the end of the October Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC in Birmingham on October 22. Orders taken up until that date will benefit from the price freeze but customers who order models after then are likely to face an as yet unknown increase in prices.

Many of the marques’ dealers are planning open days to promote 2013 models in the Auto-Trail and Tribute ranges prior to the October NEC show. In addition, dealers will be displaying and taking orders on these new models at the End of Season Finale Motorhome Show at the Lincoln Showground on 21 to 23 September.

The price freeze will be incentive enough for many loyal Auto-Trail customers, but there are some other reasons to consider upgrading to a 2013 model.

For a start the entire range – the Super Lo-Line, the Lo-Line and the Hi-Line - now gets a panorama roof light, known as the Skyline. The introduction of this new skylight has not affected internal dimensions and now floods in the interior with natural light. Only one model doesn’t get this new skylight - the 634 because its front washroom internal layout.

All 2013 Auto-Trail models now also get:
  • new integrated stainless steel microwave
  • new Omnistore 4900 awning
  • new Truma dual-fuel boiler (with dual elements) and Truma heaters (including on-the-move heating)
  • new captain’s-style swivel cab seats with twin arm rests
  • new washrooms with larger shower areas and larger sinks
  • new soft furnishing options
  • new habitation door with integrated waste bin, dual locks (operated through the key’s remote central locking) and Auto-Trail umbrella in a dedicated storage area
  • additional LED lighting in the lounge
  • front Fiat mud flaps (rear flaps are already included)
Auto-Trail has also replaced the popular optional ‘Platinum Pack’ with a new ‘Sport-Line Pack’, which offers black metallic paint, new graphics and low-level LED daytime running lights for an extra £599. The daytime running lights can be ordered on their own for an extra £349.

In addition, the £999 Media Pack now comes with a new 15” colour monitor and a digital-compliant TV aerial. The pack can be enhanced to include a remote controlled satellite TV system and colour infra-red reversing system for an extra £800.

The solar panels, which are standard across the Frontier range and a £550 cost option on the Tracker and Apache ranges, are now 100W.

But, as already mentioned, the biggest news from Auto-Trail is the arrival of an all-new layout for the Tracker range.

Tribute motorhomes for 2013

Changes to the Tribute range of Ford-based coachbuilts and the Fiat Ducato-based van conversion are minimal for next year. There are no additional models or changes to layouts. There are however new cushions, soft furnishings, a new habitation door that has been added to the entire Auto-Trail and Tribute coachbuilt ranges and the inclusion of an umbrella as standard for 2013 models.

However, for next year’s models, the Tribute ‘Sports Pack’, which is only available on the Ford-based coachbuilts, has been enhanced and now includes a Thule canopy awning, a reversing camera with colour display, a TV aerial with digital signal locator, mains-powered blown heating and low level front fog lamps for the same £999 price tag the pack carried in 2012. Cab air con remains an additional cost option at £955.

On the road prices begin at a very competitive £34,495 for the Ducato-based 669 van conversion (pictured) and rise to £37,649 for the range-topping Transit-based 140bhp T-725 Hi-Line coachbuilt.
