Alert for automatic satellite dish owners

b3a625d6-b6f4-4fed-902c-0f1b226e3a95
Owners of automatic satellite dishes should be aware that there are some changes taking place in the skies above us.

Due to the increasing channels, HD signal requirements and ages of satellites, the frequencies a satellite emits its signal at may change.

This affects automatic dishes, as these are programmed to lock onto one frequency when switched on. If that frequency has been changed the dish will continue to rotate and not lock onto anything, therefore picking up no signal.

Anyone with satellite dishes should be aware that the operators of the satellites can change the frequency at any time. Depending on the system you have, you may be able to program in the new frequency yourself, or you may have to send the control box away to be reprogrammed.

The particular frequency changes from one manufacturer to the next so you’ll need to contact your installer or supplier for more information.
