Motorhoming is so popular in France that motorhomes (known as camping cars in France) make up 1% of traffic (Vicarious Media owners, Chris and Meli, average 16,000 miles in their camper each year and they frequently count how many oncoming vehicles pass between motorhomes).
Therefore, it has never been more important to tour with the best aires information available so that you can choose your stopovers wisely. In addition, tourist destinations are increasingly managing motorhome parking and having the correct information can save a lot of wasted fuel and time.
Published by Vicarious Media, All the Aires details 3,944 stopovers across France. Because of this, the guide comes in two parts: North and South – back in 2011, one book listed just 2,100 inspected aires.
Each A4 guide has 352 pages. This edition lists 509 new aires across the two books with detailed information about facilities and fees. There are also directions and GPS co-ordinates for each listing. You also get a free fold out map highlighting the aires locations, tolls and main roads.
The rapid growth of new aires and the continual modifications to existing aires have made aires inspections too big a task for Chris and Meli alone. Thankfully, 10 motorhoming teams have lightened the load by taking time out of their own holidays to inspect hundreds of stopovers all over France.
All the Aires France North and South cost £16 each, but when buying together the price is just £26
