"New motorcaravanners could be said to be taking the first steps of a really exciting journey, but one thing I can’t help noticing is that newcomers can find it very difficult to get hold of a decent map.

"By which, of course, I mean that although there is an awful lot of information and help out there, it can be pretty difficult to find it if nobody points you at where to look.

"A recent rash of letters from those just starting their motorhoming lives prompted me to take a good look at where and how this help and information can be accessed.

"Old hands need not, of course, read on – but you never know there may be something you’ve been missing all these years..."
