What to see at the 2017 NEC motorhome show – Bürstner Ixeo I 744 motorhome
Here is the wonderful new Ixeo from Bürstner, which has that appealing rear lounge layout so favoured by British buyers. See it at the National Motorhome and Caravan Show on stand 8.40
The new Ixeo I 744 A-class comes with a distinctive new face and boasts flush side windows, an extra-wide habitation door, a choice of exterior colours and a double floor that allows a step-free walk from the cab right through the vehicle.
The key feature of the 744 (it’s 7.49m-long) is the sumptuous rear L-shaped lounge complete with sideboard running along the offside wall, a slide-out coffee table and large wall-mounted TV.
There is also a drop-down bed above, as well as the usual A-class bed above the cab, meaning you have four instantly available berths at night although you can make a fifth single bed up if needed.
A second seating area with L-shaped lounge ensures that four can travel safely in the 744, too. And the kitchen even features an optional capsule holder for your coffee machine while the Ixeo range now gets more comprehensive washroom facilities, including a separate shower.
Predictably, the chassis comes from Fiat – with a choice of 130, 150 or 177bhp power outputs – and ASR, ESP, hill holder and Traction Plus are all standard. It is available with a choice of two weights – a licence-friendly 3.5-tonnes or a heavier 4,000kg chassis.
It is priced from £71,495.
