When did Premier Forest Products start out?

Premier Forest Products is part of Premier Forest Group, established in 1993 by three entrepreneurs (Terry Edgell, Dilwyn Howells and Nigel Williams). Our Head Office is in Newport, south Wales.

Over the years, we have grown into one of the UK’s leading vertically integrated group of timber companies, and we operate from eight sites in the UK.

We also offer a cutting service for campervanners, which is ideal for anyone designing their own interior, and Superva, a lightweight plywood for use in campervans.

What products and services does the company offer?

We are principally engaged in sawmilling, processing, importation and the distribution of timber, timber sheet materials and associated products.

Our products are used in a range of industries, but mainly in furniture manufacture, construction, and landscaping.

The leisure industry is also a key part of our business, and our Superva range of products caters specifically for this sector.

When did Premier Forest Products decide to develop products specifically for campervans?

We started producing Superva in around 2015, as we’d started to notice there was a real demand for it.

In a nutshell, what does Superva offer?

It’s a top-notch lightweight plywood with a huge selection of finishes to choose from to suit our customers' individual style and design vision.

With decades of expertise in CNC (computer numerical controlled) machining and fabrication, we can offer made-to-measure plywood panels as pre-cut kits.

This precision-engineered solution makes fitting easier and quicker for conversion specialists and self-build enthusiasts alike.

What inspired the company to do this?

Since Premier Forest Products was already a leading plywood supplier with fantastic processing and fabrication capability, including cutting, drilling, laminating, bonding and treating timber, it made sense to showcase our skills in this way.

So, we decided to launch Superva, which combines our knowledge of plywood with our bonding and cutting capability to meet our customers’ needs for a bespoke product.

How is Superva made and what is it used for?

Superva is made from an exterior-grade lightweight plywood core to save weight, and high-pressure laminate (HPL), which can be applied on one or both sides of the board, depending on what is needed.

We work closely with leading manufacturers to offer a large range of finishes and colours and we also supply matching edging.

It can be used for cupboard finishes, walls, tabletops and worktops, so Superva is widely used to fit out campervans, motorhomes and caravans, and has also been used in boats, horseboxes and even a bespoke trailer for motocross bikes. We’ve even shipped Superva as far as Australia!

Why is the Superva range useful for campervanners?

If you’re building or designing your own bespoke campervan, then look no further than Superva. Our online visualiser tool makes it easy to choose your perfect interior colours, and our Premier Processing & Fabrication division offers an excellent cutting service to ensure you get a made-to-measure finish. With a range of 54 colours, Superva offers a wide choice of stunning, on-trend finishes.

So, we decided to launch Superva, which combines our knowledge of plywood with our bonding and cutting capability to meet our customers’ needs for a bespoke product.

With stylish wood effects, bright colours and soothing pastels to choose from, Superva customers can choose from five collections (Original, Colours, Nouveau, Bespoke Wood, Bespoke Colour) to design a unique campervan interior to suit their personality and style.

What sets the company apart from the crowd?

Our years of experience mean we can offer a truly unique product that comes ready to fit into your campervan conversion. Besides our online visualiser tool to help you design your interior, we also have specialists on hand to help you, and we can send out product samples.

What's more, requesting a quote couldn't be easier – just fill out an easy-to-use form online.

How would you sum up the company’s ethos and values?

We always aim to stay true to our values of quality, integrity & value policies. At Premier, we always recognise the value and necessity of improved sustainability and management of natural forest resources.

Our philosophy has always been to offer products that allow for natural forest environments to be maintained. Our businesses hold chain of custody certification for both FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certifi cation), which show our commitment to a sustainable future.

What new developments have you been working on?

In response to customer feedback, we have launched new colours, together with an online, easy-to-use visualiser tool. We’ve taken the interior of a standard, side kitchen layout Volkswagen campervan and supplied the colours and finishes as a swatch underneath the picture.

Just scroll through our collections and click on the colour swatch you’d like to try. The image will update with your choice of finish to illustrate what it looks like in context, so the tool helps our customers to visualise how diff erent finishes will work in an actual, realistic campervan setting.

This allows customers to try before they buy initially, and we’d always recommend asking for a sample.

The Superva range

Superva lightweight plywood is our range of decorative finishes that offer a tailor-made, unique finish to campervan conversions. First, use the online visualiser to choose your campervan interior, then request a quote via a simple, easy-to-use online form. One of our specialists will be touch, ready to help with any queries you may have.
