A sumptuous, stylish and ultra-spacious new park home with a fabulously ultra-modern kitchen.

Val Chapman explores the features that make Prestige’s latest opulent home, the Anthem, a top-class

We started with the fabulous virtual tour of the Anthem on the Prestige Park Homes website; this is a truly inspirational way to start an exploration of a park home. You feel you are experiencing the Anthem’s styling and ambience, walking from the dining room, clicking on an arrow and finding yourself in the lounge, then the main bedroom.

The virtual tour is how we would begin to consider purchasing the Anthem, so we’d recommend you start in the same way. We'd then be investigating the details.

The Anthem has a stunning exterior appearance, with four bay windows and two high roof sections, one on each side of the front of the home. This style feature makes the Anthem look much more like a traditional bricks-and-mortar bungalow than a park home. Georgian-style windows give the exterior a homely look.

And when you step inside? The feeling of spaciousness is awesome. That’s your first impression. The wide entrance hallway leads you straight into the large dining-kitchen, with a family table set attractively at an angle, surrounded by plenty of space. The kitchen's striking feature, a breakfast bar, mirrors the table's perspective; the bar creates style and dimension as well as practicality.

Kitchen

The dark brown wood-effect kitchen surface extends into the breakfast bar, which stands on chunky chrome legs. Gloss-cream cabinet doors with feature big vertical chrome handles, spotlights set into the ceiling and four adjustable lights on a bracket in the centre of the kitchen give you ample illumination. It’s an ultra-modern look – and the kitchen has top-of-the-range appliances: a double oven, an over-hob extractor, a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and a dual washer-dryer.

Lounge

Anthem lounge

The sophisticated, elegant style of the kitchen continues in the lounge, which runs the whole depth of the property. It’s an opulent room, spacious and gorgeously appointed. The accent shades of plum are warm and welcoming. The sofa and armchairs are upholstered in plain, dark rich plum with copious amounts of cushions in plum and patterned cream mixed with plum tones. In the floor-to-ceiling curtains, cream predominates, alongside the plum hues.

The focal point of the room is a traditional fireplace with a warm flow "fire" – and a touch of tradition, namely a large gold-effect-framed mirror above it. And in the centre of the room, a long coffee table stretches almost the length of the sofa.

The bay windows ensure that light floods in on three sides of the room. High-quality fabrics and exquisite design are impressive.

It’s a luxurious, spacious, yet also cosy room.

Study

When you want peace and quiet, the Anthem’s study provides that – the study leads off from the kitchen-diner.

Bedrooms

The two bedrooms are beautifully appointed; the rich plum shades continue here in curtains and matching bed runners, plus an array of cream and plum cushions. Gloss-cream cabinet doors are simply lovely, and deep headboards accentuate the luxurious look.

Bathrooms

Anthem bathroom

The main bathroom has a bath with an over=bath shower. It's fully tiled; they're cream rock-effect and ultra modern. The second bathroom features a large shower and rectangular sink with large cabinet beneath.

Both bathrooms are luxuriously appointed, both of which are beautiful environments in which to relax and groom!
