Orton Grange Park

The Scottish borderlands region around Carlisle is a beautiful area with all the benefits of being within easy reach of spectacular Scotland and also close to the city of Carlisle.

Orton Grange is four miles south of Carlisle, close to the city’s main shopping and commercial centres. It’s a family-owned residential park designed around the idea of a friendly community where everyone feels secure.

The park’s manager is on hand to ensure a high standard of service and smooth running of the park. Each home has its own private garden – great for relaxing in and spending some time creating and cultivating, too. There are a total of 40 spacious plots here.

The qualifying age for residency is over 50. Pets are welcome. Every home is connected to the mains gas supply so there’s no need for bottled gas.

Most of the homes are arranged around the perimeter of the park, looking towards an open parkland area in the centre where a water feature catches the eye.

Orton Grange is a neatly maintained park; a contractor comes here every fortnight to keep bushes, trees, hedges and grass in perfect trim and, in winter, to sweep away fallen leaves.

Orton Grange is a high-end park with quality homes and a quality aspect. There are currently 16 plots to choose from, in various locations around the park; some are within the established area, others are set in more of an exclusive part of the park where tranquillity is guaranteed.

New homes start from £129,995. A show home will arrive at the park in July. Occasionally, pre-owned homes come on the market here; currently there is one for sale, at just £105,000. It’s a 46ft x 20ft unit built in 2004, with three bedrooms, a farmhouse-style kitchen and a utility room. It’s currently being redecorated inside and out, and it comes complete with all-new furniture.

The park is close to a farm shop and garden centre; both destinations to make for when you fancy a few hours out, on your doorstep. The farm shop has a café, on two floors; a great place to meet friends for a coffee.
