Full review
LUNAR'S Solaris was conceived just over six months ago, initially with just two models. Now, another single-axle has joined the range, with a fixed island bed - the hottest trend for the 2007 season.
The exterior is typical Lunar; smoothly moulded front and rear panels, with simple but bold graphics. The interior, although modern is also more traditional than many other caravans on the market. Warm red curtains contrast with a light wood and subtle floral fabrics. Framed doors enhance the traditional look. There is a compact, but adequate lounge at the front and a well-equipped, but also compact, kitchen on the offside.
The real surprise to this caravan is the rear end, with an island bed that takes up over a third of the caravan. Right between the lounge/kitchen and the bedroom is the toilet and shower, but in separate compartments. The offside shower, with a semi-opaque door leads straight out onto the bedroom. The toilet compartment opposite has a sink and a solid door.
There is no wardrobe in the main body of the caravan, but one on each side of the bed with shoe storage and a small shelf. Cupboards above the bed offer more storage.
A real bonus for this caravan is the equipment list - barbecue point, microwave, exterior mains socket, alarm, CD player with MP3 compatibility and electric heating for water and space.
