The twin-axle, twin-bed Elddis Crusader Supercyclone has versatile layout ideal for both couples and families
The Supercyclone is 'super' in more than the name. Its layout is superbly versatile, ideal for families with teenage offspring and for couples who are looking for a caravan with twin beds.
This is why: the twin bedroom at the rear is separated from the kitchen and lounge by the centrally-positioned washroom and separate shower. That means the rear bedroom is a cohesive entity, the same length as the lounge and, like the lounge, with a chest of drawers, between the beds.
A second lounge, one might say. It's easy to picture two teenage sisters making this room their own: make-up, clothes strewn everywhere (not that there is a shortage of storage space in the overhead lockers, you understand.
And in the daytime? The beds can become sofas. So the room becomes a place for television and other media activity, perhaps.
The central position of the washing facilities means it's easily accessible from the front, so it's effectively en suite to both bedrooms.
As a caravan for couples looking for twin beds, this twin-axle, almost eight metres long caravan offers superbly spacious accommodation, with the luxury of a large showering and washing area amidships; think of it as an en suite to the bedroom.
Whether you use the Supercyclone as a four-berth or just for two, the level of luxury will impress you. It has Alde heating and the Alde Load Monitor which prevents you from tripping out the power supply to your pitch by automatically switching off the heating when you are using an appliance like the microwave.
There's a 40-litre onboard water tank, an Aquasource waterline to connect to a tap on a pitch, and a large 'Stargazer' roof light, plus a large fridge-freezer.
Crusaders come complete with wheel locks. They also have barbecue points and an external mains socket in an outside locker. And Crusaders are the only caravans that have Champagne-coloured sides with a metallic finish that shimmers in the sunshine.
At more than £28,000 and with a high level of specification to match its price tag, the Supercyclone is firmly in the luxury class.
This is a caravan of three rooms – a rear bedroom with twin beds, a centrally-positioned shower and toilet area, and a large lounge-kitchen area in which the settees are long enough to double as single beds.
All these facts point to the brilliant versatility of the Supercyclone. Add in Alde heating, a water tank and the conveniences of a pitch water connector plus the Load monitor system and you are looking at a caravan for all seasons and answering most needs.
