Crusader is the top-spec range in the Elddis portfolio. There are two single-axle models, the Mistral and Aurora. Both of these have island beds. There are also three twin-axle Crusader models; the Storm is one of these.
The Storm has a transverse island bed and a full-width rear shower room featuring a ladder-style heated towel rail and a clothes dryer in the shower compartment.
The bed base incorporates a mechanism which enables it to be shortened in length to create more floor space for day time.
A high level of specification defines Crusaders, as does the distinctive Champagne colour of the sides.
Crusaders have a new colour scheme for 2020, with an injection of a subtle, pale copper hue for two of the four cushions plus piping around the armrests and along the backrest.
Concealed catches have been introduced for the kitchen top lockers. New exterior sockets which have vertically sliding covers, for the water inlet and barbecue point, have also arrived for 2020.
Low-level strip lighting has been introduced, together with a new splash-back in pearlescent finish; it’s plain and smart.
Kitchen drawers have tilt catches set behind the handles, and top lockers have new handles; the whole handle tilts to open the locker; how refined!
Equipment includes Al-Ko’s ATC stability control system, barbecue points, exterior mains sockets and large ‘Stargazer’ roof lights.
Crusaders have the Alde Load Monitor which turns off the heating when you are using the microwave or other high-powered device, and then automatically switches the heating on again when the appliance ceases to be used; this prevents you from accidentally tripping your pitch’s power supply.
The Storm has a 40-litre water tank and comes with two wheel locks plus an Aquasource water line to connect to a tap on your pitch.
Champagne-shade metallic sides ensure Crusaders stand out from the crowd. For 2020 the interior accent colour links with the established metallic theme; it’s a pale copper colour. The whole effect is gorgeously luxurious befitting Crusaders’ status as the flagship of the Elddis line-up.
The Storm’s layout is one of the most popular in the caravan industry, providing the luxury of a shower room secluded at the rear of the caravan, completely separate from all other elements yet close enough to the bedroom to be classed as an en suite.
