WE could have filled this article with Bailey products. With keen prices, plenty of models from which to choose and a decent dealer network, anybody just starting caravanning would be foolish to overlook the Bristol company’s range. However, we’ve restricted ourselves to this four-berth model - although any of the Discovery, Ranger and Pageant models are worth a look if you’re after a reasonably small and cheap new caravan.
The layout is great for a couple, in that there’s a fixed bed, but still plenty of space for two to eat in the lounge; it’s just a shame the washroom isn’t more spacious. The reason we’re such keen advocates of Bailey’s products is the balance between weight, price, build qu
ality and standard equipment - building the perfect caravan means getting the right combination of all these things, and Bailey does it better than most.
While the Pageant is the heaviest caravan here, it also offers the most interior space and the greatest exterior length - yet the price tag is still eminently palatable. That’s despite such standard kit as alloy wheels, a 117-litre fridge/freezer, a microwave oven and a radio/CD player.
