TV’s Rivron set to take delivery of new caravan

A REQUEST from television presenter Rowland Rivron has prompted Bailey to launch a competition inviting members of the public to design their own caravan.

Rowland got the caravanning bug while filming for the BBC’s Holiday programme six years ago and he and his family recently ordered their first caravan from Bailey and joined The Caravan Club.

As they plan to caravan exclusively in the South of France, the family asked if the Bailey Ranger 620/6 they were keen on could be modified for summer only touring.

Bailey will not normally deviate from standard specification but bosses agreed to take on the project using expertise gained from The Caravan Club’s Caravan of the Future prototype.

The fruits of their labour – known as the Ranger Rivron - will go on show at this month’s National Boat Caravan and Outdoor Show at the NEC, Birmingham, in Hall 5 at stand number 5292.

The Rivron family will collect the keys to their new caravan at the show at 1.30pm on Friday, February 22.

Now, Bailey has launched My Bailey Van in which someone can win a caravan of their own design. A website giving full details of the competition will be launched at www.mybaileyvan.co.uk on March 25.
