Richard Griffiths is the Camping and Caravanning Club's new finance and HR director, the club announced this week.

Richard joined the Club in August last year from Leicester University, where he was its Deputy Director of Finance. Before working at the university, Richard worked for the accountancy firms Grant Thornton UK and Deloitte.

He's no stranger to caravans either. When younger, he spent many holidays caravanning with his family. Richard visits Devon and Cornwall often for his holidays.

Richard said:

"One of the great aspects about working at the Club is that we are dedicated to helping others make the most of their passions and pastimes – camping in all its different forms – to create memorable holidays."

The former Finance and HR Director, Sabina Voysey, vacated the position. Sabina takes over as the Club's Director General later this year. The current Director General, Robert Louden MBE, retires later in 2019.
