If your towcar is a Range Rover, a Defender, Freelander or a Discovery, you could be part of a record-breaking event that's raising money for Help for Heroes.Convoy for Heroes is taking place over the easter weekend (6-9 April) following last year's event that raised £15,000 and took the Guinness World Record for longest Land Rover convoy.
This year, the record attempt will take place at Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire with a weekend of camping, entertainment, games, competitions and quizzes on offer. Convoy for Heroes 2012 will cost £70 per family for the whole weekend, culminating in the convoy itself on Easter Sunday, attempting to break the record once again.
The charity event is also seeking support from both individuals and companies in a number of ways, from sponsorship of an item or event to the donation of goods to use as prizes and for auction. All profits go to Help for Heroes and supporters who donate money are asked ot make their cheques payable to the HFH charity.
