Salop Leisure duckings hatch!

A mother duck has successfully hatched eight ducklings in a flowerpot in a busy motorhome and caravan display area.

The wild Mallard became a major talking point at caravan and motorhome dealership Salop Leisure’s headquarters at Emstrey, Shrewsbury when she made her nest in a floral display, partially camouflaged by the flowers.

Staff arrived at work in June to find nest and eggs and were delighted when the eight ducklings hatched and hopped out the flowerpot to follow their mother to a nearby pond.

The company’s 11-acre holiday home village, which displays caravan holiday homes and lodges in a natural, landscaped setting, has become a wildlife haven since it opened last autumn.

What a quacking result!
