Record breaking year for NEC caravan event
Over 90,000 visitors and customers filled the Birmingham NEC this year for a week of new launches, celebrities and latest gear from the industry’s manufacturers and dealerships.
The innovative, bullet-like IH Monopod 660 caused a commotion with its futuristic styling and panoramic windows, while Sterling, Bailey, Fifth Wheel, Sprite and Freedom all accepted accolades in the 2012 Caravan Club Awards.
Professional chef Gino D'Acampo took to the AGA Rangemaster Cookery Theatre for the crowds’ entertainment and an impromptu book signing while industry experts, including our own Val Chapman, informed audiences with presentations and Q&A sessions at the Experts’ Advice Centre.
John Lally, CEO of NCC Events said: “The show is a success because of teamwork. Everyone in the industry has pulled together and worked hard to deliver an exceptional national showcase that is packed with innovative products, good looking stands and helpful and welcoming staff.”
Next up on the show calendar is The Motohome, Caravan & Camping Show at ExCeL London between 14-19 February 2012.
