Morris Leisure head into Wales

df563ae8-1fa6-445f-ba41-0ea14eaf3368
MORRIS Leisure has acquired the Riverside Caravan Park in Betws-y-Coed as part of its first foray into Wales and plans to invest £3 million in developing the site.

It aims to create one of the top campsites in North Wales and the eight-acre site will be upgraded to provide 60 touring pitches, 29 tent and camping pitches, as well as 68 static holiday homes. Work has already started on the site and is expected to be complete by mid-summer.

Edward Goddard, Operations Director of Morris Leisure said: "Betws-y-Coed has a deserved reputation as an attractive tourism centre in its own right, located in the heart of North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park. The site is in a key area close to the centre of the village with good road and rail links. Our aim is to enhance its reputation by providing a quality touring facility to be marketed nationally and internationally."
