Kielder Water art and architecture workshop

d57f07d8-388a-41bb-b74f-a2969546d24a
Kielder Water & Forest Park, Northumberland, has become the largest open air art and architecture gallery in the country.

The award-winning Kielder Art & Architecture programme will now play host to a special workshop, called ‘Capture’ thanks to a partnership with the world-renowned Bartlett School of Architecture (University College London).

It is a chance for anyone aged 17 and over who is interested in the subject to learn from experimental architects in the most spectacular setting. It's a unique opportunity to learn from experimental architects, whether you have a fascination for architecture and would like to know more or you’re already working in the field and would like inspiration, fresh direction or a chance to work with experts.

Participants will have the chance to use 3D scanning technology to explore Kielder’s wild terrain, capturing unique environmental conditions in fine detail, and learn how they can be reproduced as film and images. Work from the Capture project will be exhibited at a pop-up cinema in Kielder Forest at the end of the day.

The Capture workshop takes place on Sunday 11 November 2012 at Kielder Castle Visitor Centre and costs £10 a person. To book a place call Hexham Tourist Information Centre on 01434 652 220.
