Keep your family entertained at half term family with The Caravan Club

Half-term caravan holidays are more fun with the family when you plan them properly. Here are some ideas.

The Caravan Club has done some homework for you to pick out some top attractions to keep the family entertained, including 'zip wires', Ferris wheels and animal magic. Plus, they've recommended nearby Caravan Club sites to each attraction.

Have fun this February half-term. Here is the list of ideas:

  • Go Ape in the trees at Moors Valley Adventure Park! The kids (big and small) will love this Tarzan-like experience of swinging about in the woods. It's great fun and surprisingly energetic moving around in the trees. Stay at Hunter's Moon Caravan Club site, which costs from £20.50 per night based on two adults and two children.
  • Have an Adventure in Cardiff Castle! Packed with history from across the ages, Cardiff Castle is an exciting family day out. The Romans made it their home, as did the Normans and the Victorians. It's full of tunnels and air raid shelters, as well as a fortress to explore. Just 7 miles away is Tredegar House Caravan Club site which costs from £18.70 per night based on two adults and two children from January to mid-March 2017.
  • Go Wild in Kent with lions, tigers and bears! Howletts Wild Animal Park has the UK's biggest herd of African elephants. Also, make sure you see the first baby black rhino to be born at the park. Park your caravan at Black Horse Farm site is from £18.30 per night based on two adults and two children.
  • Let the children's imaginations loose in London! The Southbank Centre runs its Imagine Children's Festival from 9th to 19th February at London's Royal Festival Hall. The event is suitable for children of all ages and has a packed programme of creative activities and events. There's a free, pedal-powered screening of the Little Mermaid, LEGO-inspired events, a book reading by Team GB Olympic hero, Sir Chris Hoy, and a family clubbing experience. Stay at Crystal Palace Caravan Club site costs from £22.80 per night based on two adults and two children.
  • Get a panoramic view from the Nottingham Giant Wheel! The Wheel of Nottingham returns to the city between 28th January and 12th March 2017. Take a ride on it and see the amazing view across Nottingham. Plus, there's the city's 10th Light Night on 10th February where 75,000 bulbs turn the structure into a Wheel of Light. You can stay at the nearby Milestone Caravan Club site which costs from £21.40 per night based on two adults and two children.

Even better for families; those with children aged between five and 17, the kids can stay for just a £1 per night. That offer is available throughout the season at selected Caravan Club sites.
