The Kawan Village chain is expanding its services with a low-cost car rental option available on its campsites in France, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain. The collection of sites hopes that by offering this service, they will make it easier for visitors to explore the areas surrounding them, without having to move the 'van once pitched.
The formula was tested in Kawan Village Domaine de Champé (Vosges) in 2010 and was a roaring success.
The car rental will cost five euro per day, plus 0.19 euro per kilometre travelled. Reservations can be made at each of the site's reception areas.
Kawan Villages, part of the Kawan Group, is a chain of 65 campsites in four European countries (France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands).
