Hobby reveals innovations for 2023 caravans

German caravan manufacturer, Hobby, will launch a new model for 2023 and make a number of updates to its current ranges, which you’ll be able to see at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf later this year

Launched in 2022, the Scandi-style Hobby Maxia – currently available in two layouts: the 495 UL and 660 WQM with its large panoramic front window – will see a new layout added for 2023.

At 7.69m long and 2.5m wide, the new Maxia 585 UL is significantly longer than 2022’s 495 UL and features additional storage space, plus two new corner panels with reading lights in the U-shaped seating area.

The whole Maxia range is available in a cosy ‘hygge’ design, which Hobby says has been popular with its customers this year.

Hobby’s Excellent caravan range will be updated for the 2023 season, including a modern anthracite-coloured wood finish for its furniture, inspired by the Excellent Edition range.

Bernd Löher, Managing Director of Hobby, says,

For the 2023 season, Hobby’s Excellent Edition range will be available in 10 layouts, including four with children’s beds. Separated from the ‘adult area’ by a curtain, the Excellent edition 650 KMFe  even offers a children’s room with seating area and table at the rear.

The Prestige range sees the addition of new upholstery designs. Using fully recyclable and upcycled fabrics, the new pale grey upholstery and decorative curtain can be easily cleaned and offers a cosy feel.

For 2023, all Hobby caravans will also feature a new hob/sink combination, as Dirk Gottwald, Head of Caravan Design at Hobby, explains,

Almost all of its 2023 models will also see the addition of a SuperSlim Tower refrigerator, with a double-hinged 130-litre absorption refrigerator and removable 12-litre freezer compartment. The new Maxia 660 WQM comes with a 157-litre compressor fridge with an 18-litre freezer compartment as standard.
