Hobby launches new caravans for 2020 season
Hobby is better known for its motorhomes in the UK, but the bulk of its European production is actually in the caravan market. There are six different ranges to choose from: Ontour, De Luxe, De Luxe Edition, Excellent, Prestige and Premium. That’s 58 caravans.
Across the board (except for the Premium range), Hobby is introducing a new rear panel and lights that was first seen in the Prestige range last year – depending on the model you either get grey or chrome grab handles.
The Prestige range gets two new layouts with wrap-around front lounges. The 560 FC (7.51m overall length) has a rear French bed, while the twin-axle 720 WQC (9.04m) has an across-the-rear washroom and transverse island bed. Both also get a heated coat locker by the door. Both also have a large L-shaped kitchen and 150-litre Super Slim Tower fridge with the option of an oven/grill. Alde underfloor heating is optional for the 720.
The De Luxe (the family friendly range, according to Hobby) gets five new layouts, all of which are adopted from Hobby’s other ranges:
- 440 SF – front transverse double bed, rear dinette
- 460 SFf – front island bed, central dinette, rear kitchen/washroom
- 540 FU – rear French bed, front U-shaped lounge
- 540 UFf – front island bed, rear U-shaped lounge
- 650 KFU – front U-shaped lounge, fixed French bed, rear kids bedroom with bunks and small dinette seating
Excellent (aimed at couples), has 13 layouts, with the 560KMFE being replaced by the 650 UFME. This model has a French bed at the front with a central side dinette and a U-shaped lounge at the rear.
No changes have been made to the Premium line-up, however a TFT control panel and aluminium rims are standard.
UK prices, which are just about to be announced, will include ovens as standard and more.
