A GHURKHA curry night is just of the many attractions promised for visitors to the York Festival of Food and Drink 2007, taking place in September. The 10-day festival, which starts on September 21, offers free and ticketed events around the theme: Learn to cook, learn to taste, learn something new.
The Queen's 2nd Ghurkha Signa regiment from the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal will set up a field kitchen in York Guildhall to serve visitors with Nepalese Ghurkha curries. There will also be wine tasting, a beer marquee and markets.
