Scottish ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne is celebrating taking the title of “Best Ferry Operator” for the fifth year running in the Guardian and Observer Travel Awards.
The award is the result of an annual poll of readers who are asked to rate the quality of service they received on holidays across the world.
Managing director, Martin Dorchester, said: “We are thrilled to have clinched the Guardian and Observer Award for the fifth time and are grateful to the ferry travellers who have shown their appreciation for the efforts of our staff in this way.
“Every single person at CalMac, whether working on a ship or working in a port, should be very proud of this award as it is a wonderful testament to the hard work they put in every day to give customers the best experience they can.”
