Family-owned holiday park group - Haulfryn - is celebrating after picking up another award for one of its luxury lodge sites.Finlake Holiday Park, near Newton Abbot, Devon, was awarded 'Best self-catering, serviced apartments, holiday park or village' by judges at the English Riviera and South Devon Tourism and Hospitality Awards.
The 130-acre site has 168 luxury lodges amid woods and landscaped parkland with an array of top-rated facilities and activities. Credit for the park's success has been its active holiday programme combined with high customer service and improvements to facilities since being bought by Haulfryn Holidays in 2001.
Finlake's Go Active programme offers a huge selection of things to do both on and off site, ranging from bowls, to archery, abseiling and more. The holiday park has its own indoor and outdoor pools, state-of-the-art gym and beauty centre. It boasts easy access to Dartmoor National Park and the south Devon coast.
Park Manager, Simon Phillips, said: 'Finlake has been undergoing a continuous programme of improvement ever since Haulfryn took over, and is attracting more and more visitors - despite difficult economic times when people are more money-conscious than ever. We're determined to keep raising our standards every year and to keep giving our guests relaxing, fun and luxurious holidays they'll never forget.'
