CL of the Year 2010 Award winners announced!
Scooping first place was Manor House Park CL in Blackpool, owned by Jeremy and Sharon Haworth. This is the second time in three years that Manor House Park CL, at Marton Moss, just outside Blackpool, has taken top honours in these national awards; and this beautifully tended site was also voted the Most Picturesque Site CL‚ on the network.
CL owners Jeremy and Sharon Haworth took over the site in December 2007,investing in facilities for their guests and welcoming them all year round to this fascinating part of Lancashire.
In second place John and Beryl Edwards took an award home for Bron Derw Farm CL in Llanrwst, Conwy.
And third place went to the Old Granary House CL in Green Hammerton, York, owned by Glynn and Val Wiggins.
Certificated Locations are small, five-pitch, privately-owned informal sites, often in remote rural settings (on working farms, beside pub gardens, and even in the grounds of stately homes).
CLs are for the exclusive use of Caravan Club members and there are over 2,500 throughout the UK.
