Caravan and Motorhome Club Reopens Knaresborough Site After £1m investment

The Caravan and Motorhome Club reopened its Knaresborough site this week and investing £1million in its redevelopment.

The North Yorkshire site has a swanky new bar and restaurant, called the ‘Wanderer Kitchen and Bar.’ And, the Club’s site now has hard standing on all its pitches, including 12 fully serviced pitches, improved service points and showers.

The Knaresborough site has 79 pitches and sits in Lower Nidderdale, a great spot for visiting the Yorkshire Dales and the North of England.

The Wanderer Kitchen and Bar boasts delicious dishes including its great ‘The Wanderer Burger’, low braised boroughbridge pork belly, queenie scallops and pan fried seabass. You can buy breakfast, lunch and dinner there from Friday to Sunday, and dinner from Monday to Thursday.

The organisation named the new kitchen and bar after the first horse drawn caravan which saw the beginning the Caravan and Motorhome Club in 1907.

Club members who stay at the site and eat in The Wanderer can taste food from local producers. Members already spend £420 million a year when on rural holidays in the local economies.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club says it plans to use the approach taken with the new kitchen and bar in Knaresborough out to more sites in the future.
