Proving that we’re not just about electric hook-ups, muddy fields and chilly weather, manufacturers and industry figures joined Caravan magazine in an exclusive London event to announce the winners of the 2015 Caravan Awards earlier this week.
Supported by the Caravan Club, the awards ceremony took place at the Kensington Roof Gardens, where the winners were presented with a trophy for each category following a stringent judging process at October’s NEC show.
Winners included models and innovations from a range of manufacturers including Coachman, The Explorer Group, Bailey, The Swift Group and Venus.
Speaking of this year’s Caravan Awards, managing editor of Caravan magazine, John Sootheran, said: “The 2015 Caravan Awards show how the manufacturers are working hard to innovate and differentiate their products, through exciting layouts (such as the Coachman Vision 650/4), lightweight designs (Adria's Altea Forth) and many other criteria.
"Prices seem to have remained static in recent years, but the specifications certainly haven't. I reckon there’s never been a better time to buy a caravan, coming, as they do, filled with practical and luxurious extras. Anyone returning to caravanning after five or 10 years away will have their jaws on the floor!
"Through our shortlist and winners, we’ve highlighted the very best tourers available in 2015. Caravanners have never had it so good.”
