Bailey 'builds' a caravan in just over two minutes

BAILEY has published a short film to give members of the public an idea of what it takes to manufacture caravans 'Bristol Fashion'.

The time lapse video shows the final stages of the caravan manufacturing process including chassis assembly, services installation, furniture installation, body shell construction and caravan commissioning - condensing approximately two and a half hours production time into just 2 minutes 18 seconds.

The short film debuted on the Bailey stand at the International Caravan and Motorhome Show in October. The same production is now available to view on a new micro site: www.caravansbristolfashion.co.uk.

The caravans being manufactured in the film are specially designed units for The Caravan Club Tow Course fleet and do not therefore have the same interior specification as standard production models.

The thirty eight custom-built Bailey Discovery caravans have subsequently been put into action at The Caravan Club's accredited training centres across the UK, where they are being used by members and non-members to gain practical towing experience and to develop outfit manoeuvring skills.
