SMC Motorhomes
SMC has its origins in the Seventy Seven Motor Company, the original name of the family run business that began in the motor trade, specialising in servicing and accident damage repairs. The business began to sell affordable motorhomes and the line-up of vehicles soon grew to the point where the motorhome required a stronger identity, so SMC Motorhomes became the dedicated motorhome sales division.
The large site on Northern Road, Newark, has extensively equipped workshop facilities and the company prides itself on its ability to restore classic vehicles, where the owner is keen to preserve the model’s integrity. Any level of repair can be carried out, from the tiniest scratch, to a complete re-build. All work is carried out in-house and the workshop has a computerised paint mixing system that can reproduce any shade of paint for an invisible repair. High-tech, infra-red curing and drying systems are available in both car and motorhome sizes to ensure a long lasting finish.
SMC is able to supply parts for both caravans and motorhomes from all the major British and continental manufacturers – a key element in their ability to display a wide range of vehicles in such excellent condition. The expert repair work has led to approval by all major insurance companies and they enjoy NCC Approved Workshop status.
This season, SMC Motorhomes has taken another step forward by being appointed as main agents for CI, Globecar, Mooveo, Pilote and Tribute. There are now even more motorhomes on display than ever before, as SMC has bought the land formerly occupied by their neighbour and have created an indoor showroom, complete with a new sales reception area.
