Welsh showground opens temporary campsite
It is now possible for campers, caravanners and motorhomers to book a stay at the Llanelwedd showground, run by the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society. The campsite opened on May 28 and will be open until 14 June and the from 13 August to 31 August.
Electric (depending upon availability) and non electric pitches on grass are available and both can be booked online. Prices start from £16 for a non-electric tent pitch to £23 for a non electric caravan/motorhome pitch and £28 for a caravan/motorhome pitch with electric.
Facilities include toilets, showers, water standpipes and fire points. Tents are allocation a separate area to the motorhome and caravan area. Awnings are allowed in the motorhome and caravan area, but are not to be used for sleeping in. Dogs will be allowed. A full list of rules will be issued to anyone using the campsite, but if you have specific requirements, please check before booking.
Nestled in the heart of Mid Wales, the campsite is within easy access of many footpaths and bridleways with breathtaking scenic views. With the Elan Valley to the north and the Brecon Beacons to the south, this location is perfect for those wanting to enjoy outdoor pursuits across Mid Wales.
