Southwest holiday park wins top tourism award

Highlands End Holiday Park has won a gold award in the South West Tourism Award’s Holiday Park of the Year category

The site, which is in Bridport, Dorset, offers touring and camping pitches, plus luxury holiday lodges and caravans to hire. It offers miles of dramatic coastal views from its clifftop location.

Its sister site, Golden Cap Holiday Park on Seatown Beach, also took a joint silver in the awards.

The two sites are both members of the West Dorset Leisure Holidays Group, which was founded by the Cox family over 50 years ago. The group – which is operated by husband and wife team, Martin and Vanessa Cox, plus their two sons, James and Robert – owns and runs five holiday parks.

Group manager, James, says,

These awards from South West Tourism are a testimony to our team's hard work, enthusiasm, and willingness to adapt – especially over the past couple of years. Their dedication to providing the best experience possible for our guests played a major part in convincing the judges to reach their decision.

We're all now crossing our fingers that both parks will be selected to go forward to the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence taking place in June. This year promises to be a very busy and exciting one for everybody concerned!
