A new, 150-pitch campsite will open in the Midlands in Spring 2020, namely Sherwood Pines in Nottinghamshire, the organisation Camping in the Forest announced today.

The new campsite, owned by the joint venture between the Camping & Caravanning Club and Forestry England, will have pitches for tents, caravans, motorhomes, campervans, trailer and folding tents. The pitches will be a mix of hardstanding, grass and full service. The developers aim for Sherwood Pines to be open all year.

The new, 20-acre campsite is close to cycling and walking routes, and it’s within walking distance of a tree-top rope course, bicycle hire services, adventure playgrounds and more.

Nathan Goodyear, Director of Property and Development, stated:

“Sherwood Pines is a popular attraction in Nottinghamshire. A new campsite here will support the local economy and help visitors to enjoy the woodland area and its wildlife.”

Bookings for the new Sherwood Pines campsite open in January 2020.
